Every Untamed experience begins with a place that invites you to slow down. Bay Safaris is one of those places. Nestled on the Eastern Cape coast, this off‑grid, solar‑powered game farm offers an authentic connection to nature. Wildlife roams across the landscape, and evenings are spent around the fire beneath star‑filled skies.
A family farm three generations in the making, a working cattle farm returned to the wild, where giraffe, zebra, sable and springbok now share the land. Perfectly positioned near Addo Elephant National Park and the Alexandria dune field, it's the ideal base for exploring two of the region's most remarkable natural attractions.

Guided game drives and walking safaris among giraffe, zebra, sable, and springbok, with days spent exploring Addo, home to one of the densest elephant populations on Earth. Small groups create an intimate experience, giving you the space to slow down, follow the tracks, and truly immerse yourself in the wild.
The Alexandria Dune Field, the largest active coastal dune system in the Southern Hemisphere, where the shifting sands still reveal Khoi and San shell middens, pottery, and stone tools. Towering dunes and centuries of natural and cultural history.

Born and raised in the Eastern Cape, Cam's connection to the African bush began on his family's farm, where a childhood surrounded by open landscapes, wildlife and farming grew into a lifelong passion for the natural world. As a third-generation farmer, he has a deep understanding of the land and a strong belief that people and nature can thrive alongside one another.
With degrees in Quantity Surveying and Construction Management, Cam went on to build an international career in the construction industry, working across the United States, the Caribbean and Europe. Among his international work, he served as Construction Lead on projects for the European Space Agency in the Netherlands.
After many years abroad, Cam and his family chose to return to the Eastern Cape, allowing him to pursue what had always been his true passion: wildlife, conservation, farming and life in nature. Now a qualified South African tour guide, he combines his international experience with his intimate knowledge of the land and the Eastern Cape to create meaningful, authentic experiences.
Through Untamed Eco Tours, Cam invites guests to experience South Africa through a more personal lens, discovering its wildlife, landscapes and people while sharing his family's story and a vision of genuine harmony between people and the natural world.

Justin believes travel is one of life's greatest teachers. His journey has taken him across Europe and Southeast Asia, from teaching in Thailand and Vietnam to working aboard yachts throughout the Mediterranean, and every destination reinforced one simple belief: the most meaningful journeys don't just show you new places, they change the way you see the world.
Now a qualified South African tour guide, Advanced Oxygen Advantage breathwork instructor and founder of Just Breathe Movement, he brings together guiding, storytelling, movement and nature‑based experiences. Whether walking ancient coastal dunes, searching for wildlife or leading an optional sunrise breathwork session, his aim is never simply to show guests South Africa, but to help them experience it in a way that stays with them long after they return home.

What a week! My experience with Untamed Eco Tours was absolutely incredible. It offered such an authentic way to experience the beauty, history and wildlife of the Eastern Cape. Justin and Cam were exceptional hosts — welcoming, knowledgeable and full of positive energy. Their passion for the area and genuine care for every guest shines through in everything they do, making the whole experience feel thoughtful, personal and so much fun.
The lodge itself is a wonderful example of sustainable living, providing a comfortable and safe environment while encouraging guests to step outside their comfort zones and reconnect with nature. Each day was different, from hiking through the historic coastal sand dunes and spotting incredible wildlife on night drives, to visiting the nearby national park and taking refreshing cold-water plunges.
The food was another highlight. Cam is an incredible cook, and every meal was delicious, from hearty home cooked dishes to unforgettable traditional South African braais, all enjoyed together around the fire pit in the evenings.
I can't recommend Untamed Tours more to both locals and international visitors looking for an authentic adventure, a deeper connection with nature, and a truly memorable South African experience. I left with wonderful memories, new knowledge, and already plotting my return.
Untamed offers something that’s hard to find these days, a chance to completely disconnect from the noise and reconnect with nature. From exploring the bush and dunes to sitting around the campfire under a sky full of stars, every moment felt special.
